Commercial Integration

But what exactly does that term mean to you as the end user?

Well there are probably an infinite number of scenarios where action and reaction come into play with electronic security. Probably best to try and demonstrate firstly a simple scenario to you, then we can give you a basic understanding of how the systems available on the market place today can do wonderful things for you without missing a beat.

Ok, so Ii am the owner of a large warehouse in the middle of know where, the building will be unmanned and the only thing I can guarantee you is there will always be power to my site, this is due to there being a large diesel generator at the rear of my premises............. and I have deliveries to the main gates between 7am and 10am Monday to Friday as a customer you have told me about the sensitivity of your business and given me the following wish list:

1) Automated Perimeter protection by means of Electric fence and perimeter beams that come active at 5pm and switch off at 6am.

2) I want CCTV footage of all people entering the yard and the number plates of the vehicles doing so and be able to review footage from home.

3) Access control on the gates where my drivers do not need to get out of their vehicles to open the gates.

4) Alarm system that will make a lot of noise for a few minutes in the event of unauthorized access and automatically request the presence of a guard onsite.

5) Lighting and air conditioning to be controlled through one panel with the ability for the timings to be changed without a technician attending site each time.

6) Dual path monitoring as the phone lines to the building are above ground.

Right so now the first thing as far as the system is concerned is to look at something that can do look after as many of the above requests with the minimum amount of additional hardware whilst having potential for future expandability.

I have selected a well known market leading panel for you that will give me an infinite amount of dry contact relay outputs that can be used to switch low voltage applications on or off by using time zones that are adjustable by either us at KGS remotely dialling into your system or by you doing it at either the remote code pad on site or the remote server in your Comm's room, that just so happens to be recording real time, keeping an eye who has entered your yard at what time and when they left.

This is next to the Digital video recorder that is recording images from the cameras that are monitoring the perimeter of your building for double verification. You will have one small discreet Pan/Tilt and Zoom camera that's programmed to zoom in on specific areas of interest in your yard, upon events " gate opening" perimeter beams tripped etc, etc. when this camera is not looking at an alarm situation it will just go back to happily touring around the premises.

Your perimeter beams will create an invisible barrier around the perimeter of the inside of your fences so as to reduce the likelihood of false alarms by animals, when these are triggered out of operational hours a silent alarm will be sent, and initiates an automatic call requesting a guard just takes a look to see if everything is ok. During operational hours they will not report, but just act as triggers for the yard cameras. But what about the phone line that has been cut, no problem the panel employs a GSM unit as a backup device, this also caters for remote access to the system.

With regard to the lighting and air conditioning being remotely controlled by the system, there will be an interface that looks to see if the actual building is armed or disarmed and it will simply turn on or off a Contactor connected to the lighting and air conditioning circuit, thus saving you unnecessary electricity bills and doing your bit for the environment as part of the deal.....

........ And your sprinkler system that's connected up to the recycled water will be automatically controlled by moisture sensors placed strategically around the place, also controlled by the same control unit this will dispose of unnecessary watering sufficiently moist water-flower beds.............

What we are trying to demonstrate here is the potential of these systems to do things that would have otherwise inadvertently been forgotten, such as huge losses of a nursery's stock due to it not being watered for a period of time, or gates etc being left unlocked, because the person you asked to do it forgot, lights and other systems being left on, this can generate enormous unnecessary costs to any businessman.

Your requirements are our interest, specify a degree of integration and we will deliver the solution, the only limitation of this has to be our imagination.
